Good Shepherd Endowment Fund

The Good Shepherd Endowment Fund is a separate group organized under the Ministry Coordinating Council. It operates independently form the congregation through a separate committee of congregation leaders and a separation of the fund assets from that of the congregation. The Fund invests its assets through the Synods investment programs. It is intended that the principal of the fund is invested to preserve the long term future of the congregation with only the earning of the invested assets to be distributed as directed by donors or the congregation Voters.

Mission

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church has a living endowment of faithful members with rich gifts and varied talents. "As each has received a gift, employ it for another, as good stewards of God's varied grace...... in order that in everything God may be glorified." (I Peter 1:10-11). The Endowment Fund is to enable the further extension of God's Kingdom within our congregation, our community, and our world. Its purpose is to receive and administer bequests, estates, insurance, memorials and other assets, to be perpetual and perpetuating. The earning of such gifts will be used to enhance the work of the church by supporting the mission of the congregation in the areas of education, benevolence, congregation budget, new initiatives and Synod needs.
