Connecting Through Christ (CTC)
In 2015 we launched a new approach to connect members to each other and to Christ – Connecting Through Christ (CTC). Three different “quarters” of groups met over a ~3-month session and nearly 100 Good Shepherd participated in a group and the results were overwhelmingly positive. A few quotes from participants:
"I can't wait to see what the next sessions bring. I was really moved by how much the group opened up and was honest and vulnerable as we got to know each other better. Also, I loved the prayer time and it reminded me of how powerful prayer can be."
“I think the CTC groups are one of the best ideas GS has implemented to bring members together and encourage new friendships and relationships with our fellow Christians. Who knew? Some of those solemn-looking, unknown people coming to church are interesting, fun, entertaining, friendly, and downright hilarious! It was really great to share time and prayer with those in our group and get to know each other better.”
This approach is modeled after success in other WELS churches and we pray that God continues to bless this ministry. These groups are 8-10 adults who gather at homes to enjoy fellowship and grow in Christ by discussing a recent sermon and sharing experiences while having fun along the way. CTC is not another church meeting or traditional Bible study but a gathering of Christian friends developing relationships with each other and Christ.
