Pastor Jon Bergemann

Pastor Jon Bergemann was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. His father taught World History at Wisconsin Lutheran High School for nearly 40 years, and mother served in the business office of Wisconsin Lutheran College for 25 years. He has two siblings.

Pastor Bergemann attended St. John’s Lutheran Grade School, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Lutheran High School before graduating from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota in 1999.  During his Seminary training, he served his Vicar year at Living Word Lutheran Church in Johnson City, Tennessee under Pastor Thomas Kock.  Pastor Bergemann graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin in 2003.  He was assigned to Trinity Lutheran Church, Woodbridge, Virginia, where he served for 15 years until accepting the call to Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church. Pastor Bergemann was installed as the full-time pastor on November 18, 2018.

In 2004, Pastor Bergemann married Amanda Traucht.   They have been blessed with the gift of two children. Ther Bergemann family likes to explore greater Chicago area culture, while also taking in the beauty of nearby lakes, fields and forests. They still welcome recommendations for deep dish pizza and Chicago dogs.

Pastor Bergemann is also excited to be close to one of his favorite getaways . . . the lakes of Northern Wisconsin.  In 1997 he caught the longest musky in the state from one of these lakes.  You might hear the story sometime in conversation (or a sermon or Bible study).
